Excellent Pathways
Evidence standard

How we define and report outcomes.

Clear definitions prevent marketing language from overstating what learners have actually experienced.

Our measurement stages

Enrolled learner

Payment and enrolment are confirmed.

Active learner

The learner has started and has recorded programme activity.

Programme completion

Required modules and final assessment have been completed.

Placement offered

A suitable placement offer has been made under the written eligibility conditions.

Placement started

The learner has begun the agreed placement.

Employment outcome

The learner has independently confirmed paid employment and its timing.

What we will not imply

A work placement is not a paid job guarantee. Career support can improve preparation and evidence, but employer decisions depend on performance, vacancy availability and market conditions.

Any published percentage should identify its period, eligible cohort, sample size and definition. Until data meets that standard, we will describe the programme mechanism rather than publish an unsupported success rate.
