Real work. Real experience.
At Excellent Pathways we do more than teach. Every programme includes a guaranteed work placement at a UK partner employer, because real experience is what sets you apart, and it starts here.
Talk to an advisorThe work placement isn't an optional extra.
It's the core of the Pathways model. Whichever programme you choose, your placement puts you inside a real UK team in that field, contributing to meaningful tasks that reflect the responsibilities of junior roles in that profession.
With guidance from experienced practitioners, you adapt quickly to the systems and workflows used in working organisations, and you build the confidence that only comes from having actually done the job.
The exact placement, its length, setting and the type of host, is matched to your programme. Your advisor confirms the specifics for your chosen field before you enrol.
- You do the work, not just shadow. Real tasks with real deadlines in your chosen field.
- Contribute to the daily workflow of a real UK team from day one.
- Adapt to the tools and systems used in working organisations, with practitioner guidance.
- Finish with real evidence that you can perform in a professional environment, plus a reference.
Six things every Pathway includes.
You don't just study the theory. Every programme pairs structured study with a real placement, so you finish with the same day-to-day experience found in junior roles in your chosen field.
Structured online curriculum
A 100 hour programme built around clear weekly outcomes, with materials, exercises and short assessments to keep you moving.
Dedicated course tutor
A real subject expert on every programme. Ask questions, get feedback on your work and check your progress with a person, not a chatbot.
Guaranteed UK work placement
A placement at a UK partner employer, matched to your programme and written into your enrolment agreement. Real work, real tools, real experience.
Portfolio and CV coaching
Turn your placement work and course output into a portfolio piece and a rewritten CV that speaks to your target roles.
Interview preparation
Structured interview prep with mock interviews, feedback and worked examples drawn from your programme and placement.
Job search support
Introductions to hiring partners, a structured job search plan and honest feedback on applications after you finish.
Placements are matched to your programme.
We run different programmes, so placements differ too. The field, the type of host employer, the length and the way the placement is delivered are all set to suit the programme you choose. Here is how the placement works, whatever you study.
Matched to your field
You are placed with a UK partner employer in the field you have studied, in a role that reflects real junior responsibilities.
Length suits the programme
Placement length depends on your programme. The exact duration is confirmed to you at enrolment, so you know what to expect before you commit.
Supported throughout
Your course tutor stays with you through the placement, and the host employer provides day-to-day guidance as you contribute to real work.
What is guaranteed, and what is not.
The placement is guaranteed. Every programme includes one, written into your enrolment agreement, and it applies once you complete the training and meet the eligibility, right to work and conduct requirements. The field, start date, length, setting and location depend on your programme and on partner availability.
A paid job is not guaranteed. Excellent Pathways is a career development programme, not a recruitment agency. You are never paying us for a job. The placement gives you the experience and the reference to compete for roles from a much stronger position. Many placement employers keep strong performers on, but that decision is always theirs.
For many learners, this is the moment everything falls into place: the confidence boost and career break they've been waiting for.
By the end of your placement you won't just have new knowledge. You'll have real evidence that you can perform in a professional environment.
